Two sections of CS1, same semester and same instructor (me)
One group resisted working in pairs for lab work
Other section naturally worked in pairs for labs
Same course activities: class sessions, individual programming assignments
Test scores on common tests, taken individually:
Section with those working in groups: scores about 2/3 grade higher
