Between 1975 and about 1987, Grinnell was an all-DEC shop (Digital Equipment Corporation)
The 1984-1985 catalog reported
a VAX 11/750 and two PDP 11/70s
"approximately 200 work stations located in terminal clusters, dormitories, classrooms, offices, laboratories, Burling Library, and as dial-up terminals at off-campus locations"
