This one-hour workshop is a whirlwind introduction to the Scheme programming language, to the Chez Scheme system (compiler, interactive interface, and debugging tools), and to the use of XEmacs to create and execute Scheme programs. It is intended for experienced MathLAN user consultants -- kids: don't try this at home -- and emphasizes the operation of the software and the handling of errors rather than actual Scheme programming.
