Since I haven't been here long enough to have my own ideas of how this works, for now I will steal [gumben]'s approach to reading plans, which I here copy verbatim except to change the names in context. My general planreading algorithm is the following. I autoread [stone] and [rebelsky] and [gumben] and I read in the vicinity links to [simpsone] on other people's plans. Vicinity is sort of a relative term, to me its like when someone invites you over for dinner, sure you will eat in the dining room, but you may also pass through the living room, kitchen, foyer and even use the restroom. I don't however go upstairs and look through the drawers (my mom told me that was impolite). So my plan reading of people who give me planlove is in that spirit. In addition to this, I sometimes follow links. For example, if [rebelsky] is posting a reply to something that sounds quite interesting, I might check out what he is replying to. [back to my voice:] Again, that's [gumben]'s language, including the clever house analogy, but I'll follow the same approach.
