Comments on the short page
While the information in the short page might be correct and informative, it is less useful than it could be because
it does not provide sufficient meta-information about the content.
- Is it part of a research
paper on hypertext, a discussion of computers and religion, a database
of quotations, something else?
- Who wrote the text? Can we trust them?
- What pages are related to this page? Where can we go from here? Where should we go from here?
- How recent is this information?
We can improve the page by adding
- A page title
- Contextual information, at the top of the page
- Appropriate sets of links, at the top and bottom of the page
- An author and modification date
- Note that we can use a link from the author's name to his/her
home page to help establish the credentials of the author.
The second version of this page adds
this information to the page.
