TARGET AUDIENCE Your target audience seems to be people with relatively low salaries who don't like what they do. Most people with ".edu" email addresses are either students are faculty. As a faculty member, I find my job intellectually stimulating and sufficiently rewarding. I'd expect that you find most faculty members feel the same way, making them an inappropriate audience for your ad. Students should be concentrating on their studies, and I'd hope that our students would be looking forward to fulfiling jobs when they graduate. DESIGN OF AD Your ad is text-only, making it appropriate for readers with limited email capabilities. Because your ad lacks images, readers are not annoyed by extra web dowloads. However, your text itself is not all that captivating (at least I didn't find it so). UNSUBSCRIBING You tell readers to unsubscribe by going to a web site. Mailing list etiquette suggests that an "unsubcribe" email is more appropriate. Worse yet, the link you provide simply brings the reader to the GeoCities home page, not to an unsubscribe page. You need to work on this aspect of your email advertisement. OTHER TECHNOLOGICAL ISSUES It's difficult to tell whether or not you're doing cutomized email for each recipient (using a code within the link or return address). Doing so gives you the opportunity to learn more about your readers.
