I've looked into summer credit. It turns out that you were supposed to
turn in a form a few weeks ago. The registrar referred me to the
associate dean's office, but the associate dean's office is gone for the
day. We'll try again on Monday. It does look like you'll need a
short proposal (which can describe what you've already been
doing). Shoot for a paragraph or two. Also feel free to crib from
the proposals.
Let's plan to meet on Monday at noon for lunch. As always, I'm open
to suggestions.
I'm still working on getting the multimedia labs ready. Due to the
vagaraies of the academic year, I'll probably need to pay you in advance
(i.e., today).
Note that I'm using a format for the agenda and minutes better suited to
the annotation system. In particular, I'm using header tags for the
various sections. You may want to read the source text to get a sense of what my markup
looks like.
A reminder that Sarah is away for the weekend.
My primary goals for today were to install the Java documentation and to
get HyperWave up and running. I couldn't find where Raphen put the
Java documentation, so that will still have to wait.
However, HyperWave is now up and running on abel.math.grin.edu.
No documents are installed, but it may be possible to begin to
play with the system (probably on Tuesday). While we've moved on
to some other topics, I think HyperWave will be useful as an example
of a large-scale hypertext system.
