Agenda, Meeting of Thursday, June 4

Preliminaries

HyperWave

I've gotten a response on my problems with Hyperwave. It appears that Hyperwave has known installation problems on HP-UX workstations. I've been given a workaround that I'll try to incorporate this afternoon.

Annotation Subsystem

Hilary and Sarah have come up with several examples of the annotation systems we talked about on Tuesday. They can be found at

They will present each example with some discussion.

Note that Hilary has come up with a very elegant way of handling the annotation "buttons". She's made them white, so that they don't appear when the background is white. It is also possible to make the background grey, in which case they appear. An alternate solution would be to make the icons for the buttons transparent, and then switch the icon if someone wants to see them more clearly.

Logging Subsystem

Kevin's drawn an interesting picture of the details of the logging subsystem. We'll learn more about it today.

Analysis Subsystem

I'm not sure what we'll be discussing today.

Goals

As is usual for our end-of-week meeting, we need to plan concrete goals for next week.
