The Mellon Steering Committee has approved your request for a two-day workshop on hypermedia studies. A few cautionary words have come from the committee; first, we are not sure that Grinnell should strive to become a leader in critical study of hypermedia, that is to say this is not self evident and would require quite a bit more discussion; second, you might focus the reading list -- there is probably too much there for a two-day workshop.

The committee thanks you for the time and energy you have put into facilitating this initiative and is pleased by the range of participants. The faculty stipend for this workshops will be $260 (2/5ths of the $650 stipend for week-long workshops). We will need a report both from you as facilitator and from each of the individuals in the workshop about how effective the workshop is and how it has impacted their thinking about technology and teaching.
