{Front Door} Welcome to the online version of Hypermedia 101: The Technology and Its Implications. These are some of my (Sam Rebelsky's) notes and essays on hypermedia technology and its effects on the way we think, write, read, work, teach, and communicate. This site was created as a resource for a Fall 1999 tutorial at Grinnell College entitled Hypermedia: The Technology and Its Implications. Eventually, I may turn these essays into a book. At now, this is more of a sketch than anything. Eventually, it will contain a number of short essays, a glossary of important terms, and a set of annotated references. Note that these essays are more in the traditional linear form than in hypertext form. I'll admit that I think there are many benefits to the traditional linear form, some of which I will discuss in an essay.
