Expected Discussion: Tuesday, 12 October 1999
As you know, there are few ``hard facts'' about who is and is
not using the Web, let alone hypertext. For a long time, the
WWW surveys given by the Graphics, Visualization, and Usability
Lab at Georgia Tech have been an important source of demographic
information of Web users. Spend some time exploring the surveys
at http://www.gvu.gatech.edu/gvu/user_surveys/ and
see if you notice any useful or interesting trends that would
speak to our discussions of the impact of race, gender, or culture
on hypertext.
