# Some Functions for Numeric Summaries

```(IQR VECTOR)```
Compute the interquartile range of the values in the vector.
```(max VECTOR)```
Compute the largest value in the vector.
```(mean VECTOR)```
Compute the average of the values in the vector.
```(median VECTOR)```
Compute the median of the vector. (That is, compute the value in the middle if the vector were sorted.)
```(min VECTOR)```
Compute the smallest value in the vector.
```(sd VECTOR)```
Compute the standard deviation of the values in the vector.
```(summary VECTOR)```
Provide a six-number summary (min, lower quartile, median, mean, upper quartile, and max) for a vector of numbers.
```(summary FRAME)```
Provide a six-number summary (min, lower quartile, median, mean, upper quartile, and max) for each column in the frame.
