# Studying With Workshop Statistics

In trying to understand what to do about the problems that I saw on exam 2, one issue that comes to mind is how you are approaching studying for this exam. This quick anonymous survey is intended to help me learn a bit more about your approach to the material (and to remind you of how to approach the material).

1. What letter grade do you expect to receive on the second exam? _____

For each of the following statements, select the answer that most accurately reflects your work habits in this course.

2. If we do not finish the in-class activities for a topic in class, I finish them on my own or with a friend.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

3. I compare my answers to in-class activities to those in the answer key and, if they do not match, try to figure out why they differ.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

4. I compare my answers to homework activities to those in the answer key and, if they do not match, try to figure out why they differ.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

5. I try to figure out the key point of each activity.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

6. I read the summary that appears at the end of each topic.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

7. I re-read the explanatory text, definitions, and watch out sections that appear in each topic after finishing the topic.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

8. I make notes to my self about the key ideas on each topic.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

9. I keep a glossary of key terms and update it after each topic.

[Almost all the time] [Some of the time] [Rarely] [Never]

Disclaimer: I usually create these pages on the fly, which means that I rarely proofread them and they may contain bad grammar and incorrect details. It also means that I tend to update them regularly (see the history for more details). Feel free to contact me with any suggestions for changes.
