Special Outline for Week 5

As most of you know, I am out of town this week on a family emergency. Because I am out of town, I cannot update the link to the current outline. This is a summary of the week to help you with the work. It also has links to the daily classes.

• You must email homework 2 to me by Tuesday. If I don't receive your homework by the end of the day on Tuesday, I will not accept it.
• I've updated Assignment 3. Please rearead it.
• Please try to start Assignment 4. The problems are from chapter 2.
• Thursday's CS brown bag lunch is likely to be fun. The topic is Function Level Programming and the FL Language by John Backus.
• When I return, we'll continue with Chapter 2 of the text.

Class 13: Monday

Subject: Switching and Forwarding

Mr. Stone will teach this class and give you an overview of processes in Unix using C. In particular, you will learn about the wonderful fork() command.
