User Testing

We conducted in-depth surveys with students to evaluate the design of the interface. The interviews provided many useful comments, such as:

• When a link is included in the annotation, the link should open in the main document.
• Another issue that arose was "lost" windows (i.e., windows that didn't come to the front if they were already open).
• Many people expressed an interest in having more control over the "look and feel" of the system. The solution we came up with was incorporating preferences.
