Read Section 5.3.
Hand in: 5.3.1 (see Case Study 5.3.1 and the comment that follows), 5.3.11, 5.3.13 (see Theorem 5.3.2 and Example 5.3.4), and 5.3.16.

Monday, December 10

Read Section 5.4; note case study 5.4.1.
Hand in two things on separate paper (not stapled together):

• See the course web page for directions on conducting a simulation study in R for the "tank problem". Work in groups of 2 or more. Hand in one summary page per group.
• Hand in: 5.3.20 and 5.3.26. On 5.3.20 do it with and without the finite population correction factor; also do it using the "plus 4" interval developed in class. Compare results.

We will begin course review today.
Hand in: 5.4.1, 5.4.6, and 5.4.18.
