Assessment:
For assessment I intend to use: daily homework, three hourly exams, two projects, and a final exam. I may substitute a few quizzes for an exam.
Grades
I will tentatively use the following guidelines for determining final course
grades:
- Hourly Exams: about 100 points each
- Projects: about 100 points total
- Daily homework: about 50 points
- Final exam: about 100 points
Due Dates
- February 8 (Wed): Exam 1
- February 20 (Mon): Project 1 data due
- March 1 (Wed): Project 1 final report due
- March 8 (Wed): Exam 2
- April 24 (Mon): Exam 3
- May 10 (Wed): Project 2 report due*
- May 18 (Thurs, 2 pm): Final exam.
*Note: Project 2 will require some intermediate due dates as well.
