Introduction to Maple, 3e
Andre Heck

Worksheets:

Maple worksheets may be found in my directory /home/chamberl/public_html/courses/MAT444/worksheets. To get the first worksheet, open a terminal window and type
"cp /home/chamberl/public_html/courses/MAT444/worksheets/worksheet-1.mws worksheet-1.mws"
This will copy the file to your current directory.

Homework (45%)

Assignments (pdf files) may be found /home/chamberl/public_html/courses/MAT444/assignments and copied similarly as the worksheets. Since the emphasis of the course is on mathematical discovery with the computer, it is vital that you explain clearly how you used the computer to obtain your results. Also, handing in an assignment that does not represent your own understanding of the solution is misrepresenting your work, and thus a breech of academic honesty.

Small projects and presentations (25%)

Research Project (25%)

Grade will be based on the quality of the results, write-up and presentations.

Class Participation (5%)

Accomodations:

If you have specific physical, psychiatric or learning disabilities and require accomodations, please let me know early in the semester so that your learning needs may be appropriately met. You will need to provide documentation of your disability to the Associate Dean and Director of Academic Advising, Joyce Stern, located in the lower level of the Forum (x3702).
